Yellowstone

As advised at the Wyoming Information Centre we began our Yellowstone adventure in Cody famous for being the birthplace of Buffalo Bill Cody. I even got to sit on a bench at the side of him.

We couldn’t book a campsite inside of Yellowstone as they were all full, but I managed to get a two day booking at ‘3 Mile Campsite’ which is surprisingly 3 miles outside the East entrance.

Good call, it’s a beautiful spot at the side of the river.

Day 1. We drove the Southern loop to include Old Faithful and The Grand Prismatic. Although these are the two main draws there are many spectacular sights around every corner including our first bear sighting.

Day 2. We drove the Northern loop focusing on the spectacular waterfalls and wildlife. We existed through the West entrance and drove up to Bozeman.
