Mount Rushmore

This is an iconic spot that we have both long wanted to visit. Again, a super park-up within the park allowed us to both walk and cycle up to the monument.

The monument itself is a fantastic feat of engineering and phenomenally popular with the American public, most of whom drive up in a car, see the monument and drive away. Such a shame as there is so much to see within the park itself.

We parked up in the climbers’ car park where there are lots of rock climbs (to watch these days) and walks to do.
